Setwetla residents in Marlboro welcomed a donation of blankets to fend off the biting winter cold.
The donation was made to the elderly residents of Setwetla and the children at Lucky Duck Daycare in 12th Avenue, as well as the Hospice Centre in 2nd Avenue, on 20 June by the Marlboro community and the women from Baitun Khair.
“The blanket donation was part of the annual Winter Blanket Drive for the underprivileged communities which is organised in association with the Sandton Crisis Centre,” said organiser Liaquad ‘Lee’ Ebrahim.
