WATCH: Shout to brighten lives in Alex

JOBURG - Over five thousand community activists will take to the streets of Rosebank on 27 August in a bid to raise funds and brighten lives.

More than 5 000 community activists will take to the streets of Rosebank on 27 August in a bid to raise funds and brighten lives.

The Light the Night inaugural walk will take place in aid of SHOUT for a Safer South Africa with funds raised being used to build a container library at Carter Primary School in Alexandra.

The walk will start at 6pm on Bath Avenue outside the Rosebank Mall, and those joining will be equipped with torches to light up the night.

SHOUT is a trust founded by Danny K and Kabelo Mabalane in a bid to give South Africans a voice in the fight against crime.

“Our generation must do whatever it takes to facilitate this, we are all accountable to our children. Let us be the lamplighters that shine a light on the path to education that our children must walk, and be there to hold their hand with our unconditional love and support. This is our plea to everyone,” said Danny K.
