Kotex empowers schoolgirls
JOBURG - In celebration of Women's Month Kotex committed an hour to empower and inspire young women with an informative workshop at Alexandra Secondary school.
In celebration of Women’s Month, Kotex and Top Billing presenter Lorna Maseko committed an hour to empower and inspire young women with an informative workshop at Alexandra High School.
The workshop included a talk by Maseko on how to be a confident young woman in South Africa and how to dress for success.
Shirley Nhlengethwa, brand manager for Kotex, spoke at the school and said they hope to empower more young women in Alexandra as part of their Women’s Month initiative.
Nhlengethwa said, “In the spirit of Women’s Month and the giving back to the community, we aim to contribute to the Alex community by empowering and encouraging the upcoming generation of women to be confident within themselves and become strong leaders for South Africa.
“We would like to thank Lorna Maseko for joining us on this vision and for suggesting Alexandra High School. The school is filled with talented and promising young women and we hope we made an impact in their lives.”
The workshop included tips on how young women can change the way they view health, and encouraged conversations about challenges that young women face.
