Alexandra youth edged by their counter parts to improve and take charge of their lives.
The recent official opening of the Alexandra Youth Advisory Centre has provided a great platform for many young role models and motivational speakers to help empower the youth in Alex.

The opening of the centre was set for June, but was postponed as Region E wanted to contribute financially to the event after the current year’s financial allocations.
The opening included exhibitions by Harambee, Jozi@Work, PC Training College, National Youth Development Agency and the Provincial Department of Economic Development, among others.
In addition to the exhibitions, the occasion included edutainment, poetry, speeches from philanthropists and some of the youth who have beaten the challenges of growing up in an underprivileged environment to become better people in life.
The centre provides the youth with access to information and advice on available resources and opportunities for further study, training, employment and life skills.
