Ratang Bana receives donations from Gabon ambassador
ALEXANDRA - Ratanga Bana received groceries and clothes from the ambassador of Gabon in South Africa.
Ratang Bana, a non-profit organisation situated in the heart of Alexandra, recently received groceries and clothes from the ambassador of Gabon, Sanni Aoudou Aichatou.
The centre supports and empowers vulnerable children and focuses on orphaned children and those affected by HIV/Aids.
The founder of Ratang Bana, Ingrid Maredi, was elated with the goodies from Aichatou and said she hoped they would go a long way in helping the children and the elderly at the centre.
On behalf of Aichatou, who was not present during the handover of the parcels, Wolou Ameyo said, “Aichatou likes to give back to the community and has a great heart for children. We are hoping that these donations can have a huge impact in the lives of these children, more especially the clothes and shoes.”
