Nando’s auctions artworks to raise money for books

JOBURG - Nando's held an auction of magnificent artworks as part of a project to raise money for the needy children in the Charity BookDash.

Nando’s recently held an auction of magnificent artworks to raise money for their Book Dash charity initiative.

Children in Alexandra will be among the beneficiaries of the Book Dash, an initiative to raise money to buy books for less fortunate children in Johannesburg.

Known as the Nando’s Broken Monsters Charity Art Exhibition, the auction was held at Nando’s headquarters in Lorentzville and all proceeds from the auction went towards the Book Dash.

Kirsty Niehaus of Nando’s said the auction, which involved artworks by well-known South African artists, saw the future purchase of 150 books for each artwork presently sold.
