Five things to look forward to in 2016
JOBURG - Johannesburg boasts being one of the best cities for hosting events and next year there are many events lined up for all city lovers.
Events to look forward to in 2016 in Johannesburg:
- Johannesburg Homemakers Expo
Back for its 23rd year, the expo will take place from the 25 to 28 February at the Dome. The show is bound to wow visitors with the latest in decor and home lifestyle designs.
- Jack Daniel’s Boomtown Joburg
Following the resounding success of the Jack Daniel’s Boomtown edition in Durban, Johannesburg is due to host its inaugural event on the 12 March at the Zoo Lake Sports Club.
- Rand Show
The Rand Show, also called the Rand Easter Show, is an annual show held in Johannesburg and is the largest consumer exhibition in the world outside of the United States. The next edition of this much-anticipated show takes place from 23 to 3 April at the Joburg Expo Centre.
- Sowing the seeds
Sowing the Seeds 2016 is an offshoot festival from the creators of Rocking the Daisies Festival. The next installment of Sowing the Seeds takes place on the 2 April at Emmarentia Dam, promising a fun-filled day of the best music around.
South Africa vs England
All cricket lovers in and around Johannesburg can look forward to watching the Proteas lock horns with England at the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium in the third Test match of the summer series. The Test match starts on 14 January.
