13 injured as taxi overturns

Earlier this afternoon Emer-G-Med vehicles responded to reports of a serious accident on London Road in Alexandra.

On arrival paramedics found that a taxi had overturned and skid roughly 100 meters after colliding with another vehicle.

A total of 13 people were injured – with injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

The injured were treated on-scene before being transported to various nearby hospitals for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene to investigate the events leading up to the collision.
