The topic on most South African’s radar is the 2016 State of The Nation happening today. Here are some of the preemptive reactions taking over social media.
Twitter and Facebook are already ablaze with #SONA2016 predictions and anticipatory reactions as Jacob Zuma prepares to address the country two days after he was in court for the Nkandla probe.
This address marks a significant moment in the president’s contentious tenure and the fact that SONA 2016 is happening on the same day as Nelson Mandela’s release in 1990, has also provided a double lens from which to view his legacy.
