Kyalami resident robbed in Alex
JOBURG - A Kyalami man is robbed while waiting for his friend in the car in Alex.
A Kyalami motorist was robbed of his valuables and car keys while he was waiting outside the house of a friend in 5th Avenue, Alex.
The victim said he was approached by four men, one of them allegedly armed with a firearm, while he was waiting for his friend in his vehicle at about 12.30am in the morning. One of the men came to the passenger door of his silver VW Up and opened the door.
He pointed a firearm at the victim while one of the other suspects started searching him and stole his cellphone, wristwatch, car keys and two schoolbags, all worth R4 000, before fleeing the scene.
No arrests have been made in connection with this incident, but spokesperson for Alex Police Station, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said they are still investigating a case of armed robbery.
