A suspect from Alexandra is under investigation for allegedly assaulting a complainant he owed money to.
Spokesperson for Alexandra Police Station, Lieutenant Allie Kodisang said at about 1pm on 24 July, the complainant, who resides in the same street as the suspect, went to the suspect’s residence to ask for R290 which was owed to him.
This infuriated the suspect who then allegedly verbally insulted the suspect before pushing him down to the floor. The suspect then picked up a brick and allegedly hit the complainant on the head.
Suffering from head injuries, the victim went to Alexandra Clinic to receive medical treatment. The case continues.
