Couple wallops suspected child rapist
ALEXANDRA –- Couple beats half-naked suspected rapist found with their child.
Alex police are investigating a child rape case which occurred in the afternoon at a 2nd Avenue home on 11 September.
No arrest has been confirmed.
Police spokesperson, Captain Allie Kodisang said the 13-year-old victim, who was playing outside with other children, was taken by a known man into his nearby home. When the mother asked of her whereabouts after hearing screams, the other children pointed to the suspect’s home.
The mother went there and found the child dressed, standing and crying, while the suspect was allegedly half-naked with his pants and underwear on the floor. The mother took the daughter outside, went back in and beat the suspect using crutches. She was joined by her husband who allegedly pulled off the suspect’s T-shirt and the man ran out naked.
A group of people was said to have arrived at the scene and allegedly threatened the couple for assaulting the suspect before they left with his clothes. They allegedly threatened to come back for the couple. The child confirmed the rape.
