Man assaults ex-lover, damages property
ALEXANDRA – Dumped man assaults girlfriend, damages property.
A female complainant reported an alleged assault and malicious damage to her family’s property in Ext 7 by her ex-boyfriend.
The incident occurred at about 8.15pm on 16 October. Alex Police spokesperson, Captain Allie Kodisang said the 20-year-old complainant was with her current boyfriend when the suspect knocked on the door. When she realised it was the ex-boyfriend she remained quite. This seemingly angered the suspect who allegedly broke one of the room’s windows valued at R200. He then forced himself into the room where he assaulted the victim.
It wasn’t specified if he also attacked the boyfriend or whether he was arrested after the incident was reported to the police.
