40 arrested in one week
ALEXANDRA – Police arrest 40.
Alex Police Station attended to 64 reported criminal offences and made 40 arrests from 21 to 27 November.
The cases outlined by the station’s spokesperson, Captain Allie Kodisang are:
- 2 attempted murder
- 3 rape
- 2 theft from motor vehicle
- 2 motor vehicle hijackings
- 10 residential burglaries
- 3 house robberies
- 4 business burglaries
- 5 robberies with firearms
- 1 robbery with another form of weapon
- 2 common robberies
- 5 malicious damage to property cases
- 8 general thefts
- 1 fraud
- 6 assaults with intent to cause grievous bodily harm
- 10 common assault.
