Police on the hunt for Kempton Park motorist hijackers

Several suspects are wanted by Alex police for the alleged hijacking of a Nissan motor vehicle owned by a Kempton Park motorist.
The incident occurred at about 11.30pm on 22 December last year at the intersection of Lenin Drive and Vincent Tshabalala Road in Tsutsumani, a notorious hijacking hotspot.
Spokesperson for Alex Police Station, Lieutenant Allie Kodisang said the vehicle was valued at R150 000 and the victim’s items including a wedding ring, house keys, drivers’ licence, bank cards, camera, cellphone and computer hard drive, have not been recovered.

Kodisang said an unspecified motor vehicle allegedly rammed the victim’s vehicle from behind.
“Then, a BMW with several occupants stopped in front of the victim’s vehicle. Two men, one allegedly with a gun, approached the victim and while one forced him from the driver’s side, the other entered the victim’s vehicle in the back seat,” said Kodisang.
The suspects allegedly drove around in Alex with the victim for about 40 minutes before dropping him off.
