Torah Academy celebrated
ORCHARDS – Torah Academy has been celebrated as the top performing independent school in the Johannesburg Eastern District.
Torah Academy Boys’ High School has been lauded by the Gauteng Department of Education as the best performing independent school in the Johannesburg Eastern District after the school’s excellent matric results.
With a 100 per cent pass rate, the school’s PR spokesperson Sue Belling said, “Having been working for the school for nine years, these kinds of results have been consistent.”
Trophies and certificates were presented to the school by the chief director of the Gauteng Department of Education, Moses Nkonyane for the school’s overall performance, including top marks by matrics Yocheved Cohen for dramatic arts, and Doron Joffe for business science, and for the school’s consistent 100 per cent pass rate.
Principal of the school Rabbi Yossi Chaikin said, “We are so proud of our matrics.”
