Alex police officers are investigating the alleged common assault of a woman by her ex-boyfriend.
The spokesperson for Alex Police Station, Lieutenant Allie Kodisang said the incident happened at 8.10pm on 2 February. The victim was walking home with a friend on 9th Avenue when she encountered the suspect who asked her where she was coming from and going to.
When she answered him, the suspect accused her of lying and allegedly slapped her several times across the face. He further told her not to report the incident, as he was on parole, or he would shoot and kill her.
