Alex police officers are looking for a suspect who allegedly raped a former workmate and then allegedly had sex with another woman at his residence while the victim watched.

The suspect worked as a security guard.

The incident occurred from about midday on 20 February until the following day at the suspect’s Wynberg home.

The spokesperson for Alexandra Police Station, Lieutenant Allie Kodisang said the suspect who apparently knew of the victim’s desperation for a job arranged to meet her about a work opportunity. They met and went to his place to wait for the prospective employer who did not turn up.

At about 8.30pm, the suspect allegedly fondled the victim and told her that he longed to touch her. When she resisted, the suspect overpowered, undressed and raped her several times using a condom until the following morning.

At about 10am, he left her locked in the room and returned later with another woman he claimed was his girlfriend. The couple allegedly had sex in front of the victim, who was then released later in the evening.

A case of rape was reported at the police station.
