Woman allegedly assaults brother’s lover with bucket in Alexandra

ALEXANDRA – Woman allegedly beaten, called a witch and unfit to be with assailant's brother.

Alex police officers are investigating an alleged assault and crimen injuria of a female victim by her sister-in-law.

Spokesperson for Alex Police Station, Captain Allie Kodisang said the alleged incident occurred at 5.55pm on 26 March at the victim’s home on 17th Avenue in Alex.

The victim was walking when she felt a tap on the shoulder from behind.

When she turned around, she realised it was her sister-in-law who then allegedly assaulted her with a bucket while telling her that she did not want her to be her brother’s wife as she was a witch.

The victim sustained injuries to her elbow. The suspect left immediately after the assault.
