Suspect wanted for allegedly raping a woman
ALEXANDRA – Woman allegedly raped by a man who volunteered to show her where the toilets were at 3.30am on 2 April.
A Midrand woman who was visiting a 5th Avenue residence in Alex, was allegedly raped by a man who volunteered to show her where the toilets were at 3.30am on 2 April
Spokesperson for Alex Police Station Captain Allie Kodisang, said when the victim, in the company of her brother, boyfriend and other men wanted to use a toilet, an unknown man quickly offered to show her.
When she was inside the toilet, the man allegedly opened the toilet door and the victim dressed quickly and exited the toilet. However, the man dragged her behind the toilet and when she resisted and tried to scream, he allegedly assaulted her and covered her mouth with his hand and forced her back into the toilet.
He then undressed her and allegedly raped her from behind without a condom.
When he was finished, he told the victim to dress. She turned around she saw him holding a length of string with which he threatened to strangle her if she told anyone about the incident.
The suspect forced her to kiss him as a sign of affection, which she did out of fear. Afterwards, the victim returned to the house crying and told the men about the rape. They went to look for the man but couldn’t find him. He is now wanted by the police.
