Alexandra Police Station spokesperson, Captain Allie Kodisang, said the suspects allegedly admitted to killing, burning and burying the victim at the home of the suspect from Rustenburg, where remains, presumed to be those of the victim, were exhumed and sent for forensic testing.
Kodisang said the Alex suspect was once in a relationship with a man but they separated and he later married the victim. The suspect resurfaced in his life and was found by investigators at his home after the victim’s disappearance.
Kodisang said after initially giving contradictory information to investigators, the suspect led them to spots in Heidelberg and later Soweto where she claimed the body had been buried, but nothing was found until mid-May this year when she led them to the Rustenburg home.
