The items were found at Joseph Mokoena’s 14th Avenue home on the same day the robbery was committed by four armed men who concealed their identities.
Mokoena pleaded guilty before Magistrate Renier Boshoff for the possession of the stolen items which included jewellery, a TV set, two guns suspected to have been used in the incident, and a motor vehicle which was found nearby.
The robbers raided the home, overpowered the workers and the homeowner and restrained the wife who stumbled upon the robbery in progress.

The owner was beaten up and forced to surrender keys to a safe from which some the items were stolen.
Correctional services officers recommended punitive measures for Mokoena for violating his parole conditions.
