Two men found dead in Alex, killers still unknown
ALEXANDRA – One found dead on pavement, another at a clinic.
Two people were murdered on 24 and 28 January in Alex.
Spokesperson for Alex Police Station, Captain Allie Kodisang said police officers found the first victim, a man of an unspecified age, at night on 5th Avenue lying on the pavement and surrounded by a crowd of people.
Paramedics were called to the scene and identified gunshot wounds on his stomach and buttocks. The victim was transported to the clinic where he subsequently succumbed to injuries.
The second victim was found by police already dead at 4am at the Alex Clinic. He had several cuts on the head inflicted by unknown objects. Witnesses identified him as Khasonto Mohlodi of 3rd Avenue.
