Men stabbed hours apart
ALEXANDRA – Man stabbed by wife and another by a stranger.
Alexandra police arrested a woman on a charge of domestic violence and grievous bodily harm.
This after she allegedly stabbed her husband.
Spokesperson for Alexandra Police Station, Captain Allie Kodisang said the incident occurred at 9.30pm on 28 January at the couple’s 19th Avenue home.
20th Avenue.
He said, “The police were called to the home by neighbours and found that the victim had already been taken to Alex Clinic by ambulance. They took the wife with and went to the clinic. They found him being treated for stab wounds to the hand. She was arrested after he narrated how the injury occurred.”
Meanwhile, another man was stabbed, allegedly by a stranger two hours earlier on the same day. The victim was seated and relaxing outside his house on 20th Avenue when the stranger approached and allegedly stabbed him with a sharp object in the cheek before walking away without saying anything.
The victim called for help from neighbours and described the man, they identified him as a resident on the same street. It wasn’t specified if the attacker was arrested and where the victim sought treatment.
