VIDEO: Brave biker stops smash-and-grab on London Road
ALEXANDRA - A brave Anton Damhuis saves motorist's laptop in a smash-and-grab.
A brave biker, Anton Damhuis, has been lauded for his heroic deed after he recovered a motorist’s laptop from the suspect.
This was after a smash-and-grab incident which happened during peak-hour traffic on Monday, 10 September on the corner of London Road and 13th Avenue, Alexandra.

In a video that went viral on social media platforms, Damhuis appeared chasing a suspect after he (the suspect) forcefully grabbed a laptop from the victim and tried to run away with it. Damhuis chased him on his bike and managed to recover the laptop and returned it to the victim.
Phillip Coetser, the victim of the robbery later made contact with Damhuis to thank him for all he did.
Alex police are yet to comment.
