Realogile Secondary School mourns the death of one of its learners

ALEXANDRA – Keitumetse made everyone to feel welcome and loved in the classroom.

Local actress and scriptwriter Refilwe Peterse has urged leaners of Realogile Secondary School to seek help when faced with challenges in their lives.

Peterse spoke at the memorial service of 15-year-old Grade 9E Keitumetse Mathibela who was found dead in her bedroom on Saturday 13 October this year. “I know that most of you guys face many challenges in your life. I was once a teenager like you and I know the pressure you face at that stage. Please seek help or speak to someone when such temptations come your way.”

Leticia Ndlovu (15), who was Mathibela’s classmate, described her as a loving and forgiving person who embraced every learner in the classroom. “Though she was known for bunking classes, Keitumetse was a loving and forgiving person. She made us feel welcome every time we were around her.”

According to Mathibela’s uncle Moses Mogamedi, the cause of her death is unknown and the family is still waiting for the post-mortem result to tell them what exactly happened to her.
