More woes for fraudster

ALEXANDRA – More woes for fraudster after new pilfering discoveries.

A bookkeeper who admitted to defrauding his former employers appeared again in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court.

Charles Bull (47) admitted to defrauding the company of R4 million between September and October last year. This after he used the company’s credit card and manipulated payment invoices resulting in the money being transferred into his own bank account. The crime was discovered when the company’s clients confirmed making payments which did not reflect in their account.

He admitted to the offence and an undisclosed repayment arrangement was agreed upon after he made a deposit of R100 000. The arrangement fell through when more fraud was discovered. He reappeared in court and was granted bail of R50 000 pending the outcome of further investigation.
