Emokid encourages people to give their 100 per cent in everything
ALEXANDRA – Emokid said he was expecting the new project, Season Construction 2 featuring hit tracks like Keep it 100% to receive the same reception from music lovers.
Up-and-coming hip-hop artist and songwriter Esethu ‘Emokid’ Ntshofu is on a mission to introduce a ‘reconstruction project’ of rap and hip-hop music through his new extended play (EP), Reconstruction Project part 2 to be released soon.
In 2014, the former member of the Eastern Cape Province based hip-hop music group, 4Tears, moved to Johannesburg where he released his first EP, Season Construction 1 that received a positive reception from the public. He will soon release his new EP with six tracks.
He has worked with a number of well-known artists and has been the opening act for the likes of eMTee, Fifi Cooper, 2017 SAMA best hip-hop artist Kwesta and Nasty C.
He told Alex News that his new EP would bring a new and different ‘taste’ to the hip-hop music genre.
“This project was a brainchild of a number of local amazing and talented artists I worked with,” he said.
“I collaborated with Thabiso ‘Traigh Eal Beats’ Lebepe, Graig ‘Wizraig’ Phala and Lundi ‘MNALundii’ Mnakaniso.

Emokid said he was expecting his new EP featuring the hit track Keep it 100% to receive a positive reception from music lovers.
“I regard myself not only as a music artist but a storyteller as well. Our youth has been accustomed to average performances since the introduction of a 30 per cent pass rate at schools. This project is a combination of both old and new school type of sound and speaks to people of all ages.”
The new EP will be available at www.slikouronlife.co.za/Artist/33392 and other online music outlets.
