Mr and Miss Alexandra High Schools crowned
ALEXANDRA - The winners of the Mr & Miss Alexandra high schools was crowned on 8 September.
Mr and Miss Alexandra High Schools took place at the East Bank swimming pool with anxious models and excited pupils from various schools.
Crowning of the king and queen took place late in the evening with Dineo Mthombeni of Realogile High School crowned as Miss Alexandra, and Thabo Kubheka of Minerva High School awarded Mr Alexandra.
The runners-up were Khayakazi Mpetuse (1st princess), Movet Seunane (2nd princess), Dumisa Mabodimo (1st prince) and Lehlohonolo Moerane (2nd prince).
The event was nothing short of spectacular, with models gracing the stage in swimwear, traditional wear, evening wear and their respective school uniforms. The audience showed support for their favourite models and sometimes had to be contained.
Other titles awarded were Mr and Miss Heritage which were scooped by Njabulo Masilela and Asanda Shelembe respectively. Siyabonga Zubane and Nosipho Dlamini were crowned models of the year.
