Three to be sentenced for assault grievous bodily harm
ALEXANDRA – Assault GBH victims await justice against yard mates
Three men charged for assaulting two victims with the intention to cause them grievous bodily harm await sentencing in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court.
Mthobisi Xulu, Siphosihle Mathonsi and Molekeli Dladla are out on bail for the offence which occurred in the evening on 29 August last year at a home they shared with the victims.
A motor vehicle belonging to one of the accused disappeared and they suspected the victims who they then allegedly assaulted using empty beer bottles, crates and stabbed one of them with a knife. The one victim spent a week receiving treatment for stab wounds in a hospital and the other victim was treated and released from a local clinic. The accused were arrested on 2 September.
