Haval celebrates two years in South Africa
Haval celebrated its second year in the country by hosting customers at Africa Land near Hartbeespoort for its “Haval-GWM Harvest Day”.
Activities for the day amongst others included a 4X4 experience in the Haval H9 and a self-drive fuel economy competition where participants had access to three diesel-powered GWM Steed 5 bakkies. Even though Haval and GWM products offer full roadside assistance, customers could partake in wheel changing competition where technicians were on hand to assist and educate the customers on the procedures to follow on the Haval H2.
Since they started trading in South Africa in May 2017, the wholly owned Great Wall Motors subsidiary has sold over 14 000 vehicles to date. Haval and GWM locally sold over 900 units in May 2019, a roughly 300 unit increase to May 2018.
Having grown from its humble beginning of three dealerships in 2017, currently, there are 46 Haval and GWM dealerships spread across the country with the brand aiming to have 57 by the end of the year.
