ALEXANDRA – Police get drug baron off the streets
A well-known drug dealer and an accomplice were arrested during a police operation which also netted two suspects wanted for other crimes.
Alex Police Station spokesperson Captain Stephen Malatji said the dealer who was arrested mid-August was found in possession of R30 000 worth of dagga.
“The following day, his right-hand man was spotted and arrested in Kaalfontein and led the police to Alex where an unlicensed gun was found,” Malatjie said of the pair who also face additional charges of possession of firearms and ammunition. The other two suspects await their separate court hearings.
