[WATCH] A champions welcome for the Springboks

JOBURG – It was pandemonium as thousands of fans filled up OR Tambo International Airport to welcome back Rugby World Champions the Springboks.


Thousands of people converged on OR Tambo International Airport ahead of the Springboks arrival on 5 November.

The Boks were crowned 2019 Rugby World Cup champions in Japan. The arrivals section of the airport was painted with South African flag colours.

Supporters were singing and chanting as they waited for the first group of the squad to arrive which included Bok captain Siya Kolisi, vice-captain Handre Pollard and coach Rassie Erasmus, just days after lifting the Webb Ellis Cup for the third time.
