Victim eases cops’ job
ALEXANDRA – Victim walks perpetrator to jail.
A victim of theft from a motor vehicle eased the police’s job when he took the perpetrator to the Alexandra Police Station.
He walked with accused Thabo Madiba on 6 August to the charge office where Madiba admitted to stealing and selling the victim’s vehicle parts worth R28 000. They included a key sensor, radio, alternator, panels, window controller and a mirror. He initially committed to paying the victim back but failed to prompting their walk to the station.
He was convicted and sentenced to three years’ imprisonment in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court.
