#KleenaJoburg sweeps Alexandra
ALEXANDRA – Many parts of Alexandra such as Lenin Drive, Far East Bank and Lion Crescent received a clean up by the City of Joburg.
The City of Joburg’s MMC for Community Development Margaret Arnolds kicked off the KleenaJoburg campaign to clean up Johannesburg and Alexandra on 23 January.
Areas in Alexandra that received a clean-up included Lenin Drive, Lion Crescent and Alexandra Cemetry.
Arnolds joined in the service delivery blitz and was seen cutting grass in Alex.

During her address to community members, Arnolds said we should take pride in our areas and educate our residents on the importance of creating conducive environments, that is dirt free.
Arnolds said these clean-up blitzes would continue across the city, adding when she came into office the city was very dirty, particularly the inner-city and this campaign by Joburg Mayor Geoff Makhbuo will help clean it up.
