Two gunmen wanted for Renault hijacking
ALEXANDRA – Armed pair hijack vehicle from woman left inside by partner.
Alexandra Police Station is looking for two suspects who allegedly hijacked a woman who was a passenger at gunpoint at about 11pm on 30 January.
The station spokesperson Captain Stephen Malatji said the vehicle, a Renault Clio worth about R70 000, had not been found at the time of reporting.
“The driver parked the vehicle and left the woman alone inside as he went into a shop to buy food.
“The suspects appeared, pointed guns at her and ordered her to get out. They got into the vehicle and drove it away. Inside [the vehicle] were six cell phones valued at R40 000.”
