Top notch school for Alex
ALEXANDRA - The establishment of Kgololo Academy, a top notch school in Alex, was well underway.
Preparations are on track for the establishment of a world class school in Alexandra next year.
This according to project head Waahida Tolbert-Mbatha of the Khulula Foundation, who said the establishment of Kgololo Academy, a top notch school, is set to open its doors to students in 2015.
“We are currently in the process of identifying a location for the school in Alex and once a place has been found, registration of the school with the Department of Education would go ahead full-steam.”
Tolbert-Mbatha said a roadshow to visit churches, crèches and other community centres in Alexandra was in the pipeline. “We are just tying the loose ends and an announcement will be made once all our ducks are in a row. We want to use the roadshow as a platform from which we shall share our vision and mission with the community of Alexandra,” she said.
Tolbert-Mbatha said she had a desire to connect with as many community leaders in Alex as possible to get guidance on various aspects relating to the establishment of the school, its functionality and fee structure, and a host of other matters.
She said they were also having informal discussions with various people who could play a role in the school, including potential teaching staff.
