An irate customer beat up an Alex tavern owner who had ‘politely’ asked her not to sit close to one of the frequently used fridges.
The victim of Nigeria Avenue in Tsutsumani, said her tavern was busy on the day in question with a lot of customers and this demanded that she frequently open one of the fridges to serve her customers the beer inside.
She said at 10pm a customer named only as Zozo arrived and sat close to the door of the fridge. The tavern owner then ‘politely’ asked Zozo to find another place to sit as she needed to frequently open the door of the fridge she was sitting next to.
Zozo never obliged and the tavern owner was forced to make a second request which also appeared to fall on deaf ears. When the tavern owner took her seat, Zozo allegedly stood up and pulled the tavern owner by her hair, beat her up until she fell over some bottles of beer that cut her badly in the face and side of her body.
She had to be rushed to the Alex Clinic where she was treated and discharged. The tavern owner then opened a case of common assault against Zozo who is currently being sought by the police.
