Sandton SPCA treats Alex pets

SANDTON - The Sandton SPCA hosted another successful mobile clinic day in Alexandra.

The clinic took place at the Inkanyezi Waldorf School where 240 dogs were vaccinated, dewormed and sprayed for fleas and ticks.

Generous and supportive volunteers also brought along and handed out enough collars and leads for every dog as well as food, toys, blankets, dog beds and treats to give to the owners.

“The most important part of a day like this is making sure we interact with the owners and help them understand what proper pet care entails,” said Sandton SPCA education officer Angie Jennett. “It is so very heartwarming to see how many animal owners in Alexandra take time on a Saturday to come and visit us at these clinics.”

Sandton SPCA mobile clinic days are only made possible by generous contributions by the public and the SPCA would like to thank everyone involved in making the day a success. Another Mobile Clinic day will be held in August.
