This was announced by the secretary general of the Alexandra Northrand Local Football Association, Mafika Morajane. He mentioned that the office of the association is also affected by the renovations and it would be moving to the Three Square Sports Complex in 13th Avenue.
Morajane further said that the stadium closure was effective from 28 March and that no matches will not be played during the renovation period. “We are made to understand the stadium will be ready for games again in September.”
