Man steals airtime vouchers after offering help to shopkeeper.
A man who goes by the name of ‘Alex money market’ bolted away with a stash of airtime vouchers after offering a helping hand to a shop owner.
The shop owner had just arrived at his shop in 16th Avenue laden with stock, when a man known to him as ‘Alex money market’ offered to give him a hand. He handed the man some of the stock, including airtime vouchers worth R1 100.
As he opened his shop the man bolted with a stash of airtime vouchers and climbed into a taxi. Alex police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said they were still looking for the man.
