Man robbed at gunpoint

ALEXANDRA - A Tsutsumani man was robbed of his wallet with R800 in cash and a cellphone by two armed men.

A Tsutsumani man was robbed of his cellphone and wallet which had R800 in it.

According to police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela the man was on his way home from work when he stopped at a spaza shop to buy some food. On leaving the spaza, he was approached by two men, one of them armed.

He tried to flee, but the suspects gave chase and caught up with him, searched him and took the items. No shots were fired.

Maphakela said no arrests have been made and that police were investigating a case of armed robbery.
