Wits to host NGO fair
WITWATERSRAND University is inviting development and charity organisations in Gauteng to an NGO Fair with its students and staff.
The one-day event is organised by Wits Citizenship and Community Outreach formerly know as Wits Volunteer Programme, and will be held on 6 May on the East Campus lawns.
The event will provide students and staff a platform to get involved in community services, and for NGOs to recruit volunteers who, in turn, will gain leadership and interpersonal skills while making meaningful contributions to society.
The organisations will be provided space, a table and notice board to introduce their work, exhibit their projects and products, and to inform the Wits community of prospective internships and volunteer opportunities.
