Setswetla man blames alcohol for his bad deeds
ALEXANDRA - A Setswetla man has been detained by Alexandra police after he burst into a tavern and allegedly beat up and stabbed a patroon.
A Setswetla man has been detained by Alexandra police after he burst into Gabrielle’s Tavern and allegedly beat and stabbed a patron for no apparent reason.
He will appear in the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court on a charge of assault with intention to cause grievous bodily harm.When asked by the victim why he beat him up, the suspect is said to have replied that it was because of ‘alcohol’. The suspect is said to have walked up to the victim brandishing a knife and stabbed him in the cheek. The suspect was apprehended by another patron who handed him over to the police.
