The complainant said he met some police officers while he was on patrol duty in Ext. 7 with two of his colleagues. He alleges that the officers stopped them and for no apparent reason started beating him up and kicking him before driving off.
The patroller went straight to the police station to lay a charge, but was unable to identify the officers involved. Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said they were still investigating a case of common assault.
