ALEXANDRA - A man beat up his ex-girlfriend for refusing to allow him to take their child away.

According to Alex police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, the man came to his 19-year-old former girlfriend’s 13th Avenue home and demanded that she allow him to take their baby with him to his place.
After demanding to take the baby with him and the complainant refused, the man is said to have beat up the woman who then ran away to lay a charge with the police. Maphakela said the police were still looking for the suspect whose whereabouts are unknown.
