Alex police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said a 36-year-old Extension 9 man was woken up at about 2am by noise in his yard; when peeped through the window, he noticed a man fidgeting in his car, which had its bonnet wide open.
He then opened his door and the man fled with two radio speakers and an injector to the value of R3 000. He gave chase but the man disappeared into the dark. Maphakela said the police were still investigating and no arrest has been made yet.
