ALEXANDRA - A case of housebreaking and theft has been opened at the Alexandra Police Station following a burglary at a Far Eastbank house.

Police said no suspects have been arrested in this case, which involved the theft of two DVD players, an amplifier, a wood-cutting machine and a drilling machine, all worth about R3 000. According to the police, the complainant said he had left his house at about 6:30pm to go to work.
When he returned the following morning at about 5:30am, he discovered that his house had been broken into and the listed items were missing. Police said they were still investigating the case and that no suspects have so far been arrested.
