Man murdered near Pan Africa Mall
ALEXANDRA - A 31 year old Ivory Park man was stabbed to death by another man on 2 October at corner 1st Avenue and Watt Street, near Pan African Shopping Mall.
A 31-year-old Ivory Park man was stabbed to death mid day on 2 October at corner 1st Avenue and Watt Street, Alexandra, near Pan African Shopping Mall.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said two men were involved in a fist fight and one of them picked a knife from a street vendor before stabbing the victim on the side of the chest and arm. Maphakela said the victim collapsed on site and the suspect ran away and is still at large. Maphakela said witnesses could not shed light on the cause of the fight and appealed to the public to assist the police with information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrator.
Police are withholding the name of the deceased until his next of kin has been informed.
