WARNING: Sandstorm warning for Joburg North
JOBURG - Joburg North needs to brace themselves for a sandstorm which hit Alberton earlier this afternoon and is swiftly approaching the Northern Suburbs.
@tWeatherSA issued the warning for the sandstorm on twitter this afternoon. While the social media site saw streams of tweets coming in from people already affected.
@Tbg_4real tweeted: “Johannesburg is covered with a #sandstorm”
While @Jobza said “Oh no! Its a bloody sandstorm!”
5fm DJ Rob Forbes tweeted an image of the sandstorm saying “That Bloem sandstorm just landed in Jozi. Madness”
And Azhar Vadi tweeted an image of the sandstorm over Lenasia.
Earlier today a large sandstorm hit Bloemfontein. Photos of which can be seen on News24.
